Description
The Dytran 2008A is a rugged, hermetically sealed IEPE dynamic pressure sensor designed for high-temperature, high-shock environments. Engineered with a quartz sensing element and electrically isolated stainless steel housing, it delivers accurate, stable pressure measurements in extreme conditions such as combustion testing, gas turbine monitoring, and aerospace propulsion systems. The 2008A offers a sensitivity of 1.0 mV/psi (±10%) and supports a full-scale range of ±5000 psi (±34.5 MPa) with a maximum static pressure rating of 10,000 psi (68.9 MPa). It features a frequency response from 0.8 Hz to 10,000 Hz (±3 dB) and a mounted resonant frequency greater than 200 kHz. The sensor has a minimum rise time of 2 microseconds, a discharge time constant of 0.2 to 1 second, and maintains linearity within ±1% of full scale.
